About Your Psychologist

I'm Divya, a Clinical Psychologist.

I work with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, substance use challenges, and emotional overwhelm across private, hospital, and community mental health settings.

Much of my work has involved supporting people whose nervous systems have remained under pressure for long periods of time. Many of the people I work with have spent years in "survival mode" — continuing to function on the outside while feeling exhausted, tense, or disconnected on the inside. This includes first responders, veterans, healthcare workers, and others living with ongoing pressure in their daily lives.
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused therapies, mindfulness, exposure therapy, and EMDR-informed work, tailoring each session to your individual needs rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.
Â
Alongside my work as a psychologist, I am also an accredited mindfulness and meditation teacher. I place a strong focus on the connection between mind, body, nervous system, and emotional wellbeing.

I believe that meaningful, lasting change comes not from pushing harder, but from understanding ourselves with curiosity, compassion, and care.

Therapy with me is both reflective and practical — a space to make sense of what’s going on, while also exploring what might help things feel more manageable in everyday life.

We slow things down enough to understand what you’ve been carrying, gently unpack patterns that may have formed over time, and begin to create space for things to feel a little steadier, more connected, and more manageable.

A Relational Approach to Therapy
For me, therapy is most meaningful when it’s approached with curiosity, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique experience.

I work to offer a steady and supportive presence as people navigate challenges, emotions, and moments of vulnerability, in a way that feels manageable rather than overwhelming.

Sometimes, having a space where you feel heard, understood, and met with care can be an important starting point in itself.
